White River National Forest and Gunnison National Forest converge in this high-altitude landscape dominated by the prominent Quaker Mesa and Flat Top Mtn. The terrain is defined by a complex network of hydrological and infrastructure features, including the Thompson Cr Ditch and the Clear Fork Ditch, which redirect water across the divide. Industrial activity is noted by the presence of Well No. 5 and Well No. 9 near Twin Peaks.
