Rabbit Hills and the high desert terrain of the Harney County and Lake County border area characterize this 2017 survey. The landscape is defined by its arid drainage patterns, featuring seasonal water sources such as the Corral Waterhole and the Canterbury Reservoir tucked into the southeastern corner. The physical geography transitions from the elevated Dudeck Ridge down toward the wide expanse of the Warner Valley. Significant relief is also found in the Rabbit Basin, where the course of Rabbit Cr winds through the sagebrush-covered plains. This map captures a remote section of South Central Oregon where land management and water access are the primary human imprints on the terrain, evidenced by the surveyed township and range lines that segment the high desert wilderness.
