The Choctawhatchee River and its expansive wetlands dominate this corner of Northwest Florida, where the borders of Walton, Washington, and Bay counties converge. Near the small settlement of Red Head, the landscape is a network of intermittent streams and named branches like Red Head Branch and Graveyard Creek. The central portion of the map is largely occupied by the Pine Log State Forest, featuring the Florida National Scenic Trail and the Pine Log State Forest Trail. To the west, the community of Ebro serves as a local hub near the Community Cem. This 2024 survey captures a rural landscape defined by specialized infrastructure, including Redhead Airport and Stock Island Airport, alongside numerous bodies of water such as Tiller Mill Lake, Douglas Bay, and the curiously named Court Martial Lake. Local roads like Bell Community Rd and Happy Hill Rd provide access to these inland water systems.
