The vast waters of the Robert S Kerr Reservoir dominate this eastern Oklahoma landscape, submerging the former floodplain where the Arkansas River once meandered. To the north, the small settlement of Brent remains perched near the reservoir's edge, served by the Brent Cem. The terrain is defined by distinct elevations rising above the water and surrounding lowlands, including the prominent McCann Mtn and Short Mtn.
