Rock Tank Draw carves a path through this corner of New Mexico, where the topography of the Black Hills and Summit Hills defines the arid landscape. The area is marked by a complex system of drainage features, including Cottonwood Canyon, Stanford Draw, and Dagger Draw, which funnel seasonal waters toward the lowlands. Human presence is concentrated along a sparse network of ranch roads and utility infrastructure, most notably the El Paso Gas Line that traverses the terrain diagonally from northwest to southeast.
