The Canadian River cuts across the southwestern corner of this Western Oklahoma landscape, defining the border between Ellis Co and Roger Mills Co. This portion of the High Plains is characterized by a network of drainage creeks and isolated water bodies, most notably Packsaddle Lake and the Bradshaw Number 1 Reservoir. The terrain is marked by the transition from the river valley to the upland plains, where intermittent streams like Sand Cr and W Cr have carved the local topography. While the area remains largely rural and defined by its natural water features, a grid of section-line roads, including N1890 Rd and E0770 Rd, provides the modern framework for the land divisions first established during the original land office surveys.
