Ross Peak and Gunsight Peak dominate this high-elevation wilderness along the border of Elmore and Camas counties. The landscape is defined by the headwaters of numerous alpine drainages, including Senator Creek and Decker Creek, which carve deep canyons through the Boise National Forest and Sawtooth National Forest. This terrain is characterized by a series of high-altitude basins containing landmarks such as Grouse Lakes, Bass Lakes, and Goat Lake.
