Ruby Valley sits at the base of the Ruby Mountains in this high-altitude landscape of eastern Nevada. The area is defined by a series of drainages and springs that feed into the valley floor, including the geothermal activity at Sulphur Hot Springs. Ranching and land management are evident through named parcels and roads such as Birch Creek Rd and the Llama Ranch Airport.
