Saint Thomas Gap serves as a prominent natural passage through the high-relief landscape of the northern Mojave Desert. Located at the intersection of the Nevada Arizona border, this terrain is defined by a series of intermittent drainage systems that flow through the arid basin, including Pussy Willow Wash, Black Wash, and Horse Spring Wash. The presence of Mud Wells and Mud Wash indicates critical low-lying points where water occasionally collects in an otherwise parched environment.
