2017 Map of San Felipe Pueblo

USGS Topo · Published 2017

About this map

The San Felipe Pueblo remains the primary cultural and topographical anchor of this landscape, situated along the east bank of the Rio Grande. The river’s complex hydrologic history is visible through an extensive network of traditional and modern irrigation structures, including the San Felipe E Side Ditch and the Algodones Riverside Drain. This intricate water system supports the lower-lying agricultural lands before the terrain rises sharply into the volcanic basalt of Santa Ana Mesa to the west and the distinctive landform of La Mesita to the north.
