Santa Rosa Peak rises as the central landmark of the Santa Rosa Range, presiding over a landscape defined by deep drainage systems and high-altitude trails. The high country within the Humboldt National Forest is accessible via an extensive network of paths, including the long-running Summit Trl and the Mcconnell Creek Trl. These routes follow the natural topography, tracing the ridges above Horse Canyon and the headwaters of numerous perennial and seasonal streams.
