Scituate Light stands at the tip of Cedar Point, guarding the entrance to Scituate Harbor along a coastline defined by a series of prominent glacial drumlins. This Atlantic shoreline is punctuated by four distinct elevations, from First Cliff in the north to Fourth Cliff overlooking the North River mouth. The interior landscape is a complex network of marshes and waterways, including the Herring River and South River, which separate numerous islands such as Bartletts Island and Trouant Island.
