About this map

The international boundary between the United States and Canada follows the deep waters of the Saint Marys River, framing the northwestern edge of this Chippewa County landscape. The outskirts of Sault Ste. Marie extend into the northeastern corner, where industrial and residential sectors meet the waters of Ashmun Bay. To the south, the terrain transitions into a mosaic of wetlands and forest drained by the East Branch Waiska River and Beaver Meadow Creek.
