Bighorn National Forest contains the dramatic relief of the Big Horn Mountains, where the landscape is carved by water and ice. High peaks such as Snowshoe Mtn and the distinct landmark of Copmans Tomb overlook a complex network of drainages. The most prominent water feature is Shell Cr, which plunges over Shell Falls as it cuts through the steep-walled Shell Canyon.
