Shelldrake and Paradise anchor the eastern shoreline of the Upper Peninsula in this survey of the Whitefish Township coast. The landscape is defined by the winding course of the Shelldrake River and its various branches, including the South Br Shelldrake River and S Br Shelldrake River, which drain into Lake Superior. The interior is a complex network of wetlands and small water bodies such as Hawkins Lake, Andrus Lake, and the McMullan Lakes.
