Kiwa Co Prowers Co marks the primary geographic divide in this section of the High Plains, where the boundary between Kiowa and Prowers counties intersects the north-south corridor of Us-385 N. The landscape is defined by a sparse, geometric grid of county roads that facilitate travel across the expansive terrain, including Co Road G and Co Road E. Drainage is minimal across this portion of the Arkansas River basin, with the intermittent path of Buffalo Cr serving as one of the few named watercourses in the southern reaches of the quadrangle.
