Upper Red Lake borders the northern edge of this landscape, where the settlements of Domaas and Otto sit along the shoreline. The interior is defined by extensive wetlands and a network of named streams, most notably Shotley Brook and the N Br Battle River. In the northern section, Domaas Cr flows near the lakefront through an area marked by a grid of rural roads and residential lanes.
