Hayden Hill dominates the northeast corner of this high-plateau landscape, where the Modoc National Forest and Lassen National Forest meet. The area is defined by a complex network of seasonal water storage and natural basins, centered on the expansive Silva Flat Reservoir and the adjacent Silva Flat. This 2015 data reflects a terrain managed for water resources and livestock, indicated by numerous smaller impoundments such as Log Cabin Reservoir Number 1, Deadhorse Reservoir, and the Buckhorn Waterhole.
