Silver Dollar Flat and its namesake stock pond sit at the heart of this high-plateau landscape, where the headwaters and tributaries of significant regional waterways begin their descent. This 1980s provisional study documents the transition between the Winema National Forest and Fremont National Forest, following the winding courses of the Williamson River and the Sycan River. The terrain is defined by its water sources, from the Pelican Reservoir to numerous named springs like Torrent Spring and Bottle Spring.
