The Entiat River corridor forms the central artery of this high-elevation mountain landscape, cutting a deep path through the Wenatchee National Forest. This 2014 survey documents a wilderness defined by steep relief and remote alpine meadows, such as East Blue Creek Meadow and the uniquely named Whistling Pig Meadow. The confluence of the N Fork Entiat River and the main stem occurs just north of the dramatic Box Canyon, while the famed Silver Falls marks a significant drop in the river's elevation near the Entiat River Rd. Along the western reaches, peaks like Klone Peak and Kelly Mtn rise from the Entiat Mountains, providing the headwaters for Three Cr and Tommy Cr. For backcountry researchers, the map identifies landmarks such as the Hunters Trail Shelter and isolated water sources like Snowshoe Spring and Halfway Spring.
