1985 Map of Sleepers Ranch

About this map

Sleepers Ranch sits at the base of the prominent Meeteetse Rim in the southeastern portion of this mid-1980s Park County landscape. The topography is defined by the significant elevation change between the high southern rim and the basin of the Greybull River. This transition zone showcases early irrigation and ranching infrastructure, most notably the Dodge Ditch which follows the river's path, and the expansive plateau of the Y U Bench to the northeast. To the west, the drainage systems of Dry Creek and its tributary, South Fork Dry Creek, carve through the terrain. The presence of Foley Spring Gulch further highlights the critical relationship between water sources and high-desert land use in this part of Wyoming.
