The Cabinet Mountains define this high-elevation wilderness where the Kaniksu National Forest and Kootenai National Forest meet. Dominated by Snowshoe Peak, the landscape is a network of sharp divides such as Vimy Ridge and Flavel Ridge. These peaks separate the drainage basins of the N Fork Bull River, Middle Fork Bull River, and E Fork Bull River.
