The Hidden Lake Lookout stands at a high vantage point overlooking a complex network of glacial drainages in the North Cascades during this 2011 survey. The landscape is defined by the convergence of the North Fork Cascade River and South Fork Cascade River into the main Cascade River stem. This high-altitude terrain is marked by numerous remote water bodies, including the namesake Sonny Boy Lakes, the curiously named Long Gone Lake, and Lake Number 2.
