Laguna Pueblo Springs and Laguna Pueblo Seeps define the water resources of this high-altitude landscape along the border of Bernalillo and Valencia counties. The terrain is dominated by prominent landforms including Mesa Lucero, Black Mesa, and Mesa Carrizo, which rise above the surrounding flats. The Rio Puerco meanders through the northeastern corner of the map, while Arroyo Garcia cuts through the central region, serving as a primary drainage corridor for the mesas. Access through this region is provided by Tribal routes including Indian Svc Rte 548 and Indian Svc Rte 549. This modern survey illustrates the enduring geographic importance of natural water sources and traditional routes in a region of high relief, also noting landmarks like Hidden Mtn along the eastern edge.
