About this map

Southwick and the surrounding borderlands of Massachusetts and Connecticut are defined by a diverse geography of glacial water bodies and steep ridges. In the late 1950s, the Congamond Lakes — including North Pond, Middle Pond, and South Pond — served as a central recreational and residential hub, featuring landmarks like Babbs Beach and Camp Berkshire. To the west, the landscape rises sharply into the wooded heights of Drake Mountain, Sodom Mountain, and Bad Luck Mtn, a terrain that provided the natural basins for the Granville Reservoir and Sackett Reservoir.
