The Cabinet Mountains define this high-elevation corner of Northwest Montana, where the Kootenai National Forest and Kaniksu National Forest converge. Centered on Spar Lake, the topography rises sharply to prominent summits including Stanley Peak, Stanley Mtn, and Spruce Mtn. The drainage network is defined by the various branches of Keeler Cr, including N Fork Keeler Cr and S Fork Keeler Cr, which carve through the steep ridges.
