Spiral Butte rises above a high-altitude landscape defined by the intersection of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and the Snoqualmie National Forest. This 2014 survey documents a network of mountain water bodies, from the prominent Rimrock Lake and Dog Lake to smaller alpine features like Twin Sisters Lakes, Dancing Lady Lake, and Shellrock Lake. The terrain is characterized by a series of meadows and ridges, including Blakenship Meadows and Russell Ridge, which serve as natural corridors through the peaks.
