The Nevada-Utah border cuts through this landscape, dividing the high desert terrain between White Pine and Millard counties. Much of the southwestern portion of the map is dominated by the Mount Moriah Wilderness and the northern reaches of the Snake Range, where steep elevation changes define the local geography. Significant landmarks include Petes Knoll and the narrow passage at Devils Gate, which leads into Devils Gate Canyon.
