Starvation Lake and the surrounding kettle lake landscape of the Antrim and Kalkaska border are the primary focus of this late-2010s survey. The terrain is defined by a dense concentration of glacial water bodies, from the larger Blue Lake and Pickerel Lake to smaller features like Deadmans Lake and Papoose Lake. Many of these lakes are interconnected by a network of local forest roads such as Blue Lake Rd NE and Twin Lakes Rd NE.
