Stillwater Reservoir and its complex network of northern headwaters dominate this landscape in the western Adirondacks. The water system is characterized by the branching paths of the W Br Oswegatchie River and Middle Br Oswegatchie River, which feed into numerous glacial ponds and lakes including Tied Lake, Lyon Lake, and Evergreen Lake. The terrain rises toward the northeast with prominent elevations such as Sitz Mtn and Peaked Mountain, while the southern portion of the quadrangle shows the infrastructure of the Moshier Reservoir and its associated road network.
