Stonehouse Mountain dominates the northwestern landscape of this Beaverhead County interior, part of the high-elevation Snowcrest Range. The area is defined by its complex drainage network, where numerous creeks including Beaver Creek, Shovel Creek, and Corral Creek flow through high meadows and basins. The Centennial Divide forms a significant topographic boundary in the southeast, influencing the local hydrology as waters split toward the Ruby River.
