The alluvial plains of the Mississippi Delta define this area north of Greenville, where the border of Bolivar Co and Washington Co cuts through a landscape of intricate bayous and agricultural roads. Small communities such as Stringtown and Priscilla anchor the southern reaches, while Grapeland and Meltonia sit further north. The drainage pattern is complex, dominated by the winding paths of Stillwater Bayou, Little Steele Bayou, and the branching waters of Deer Creek and E Br Deer Cr.
