Sunset Pass serves as a central geographical corridor between the prominent heights of West Sunset Mountain and East Sunset Mountain in this high-desert region of Arizona. The landscape is defined by its arid-land water management system, indicated by a series of named earthen reservoirs or tanks used for ranching and wildlife, such as Upper Red Tank, Lower Red Tank, and the Dick Hart Tank. The southern portion of the sheet is dominated by the winding course of Clear Creek and the drainage of Echinique Draw.
