The Arkansas River corridor in Colorado serves as a dramatic boundary between the rising suburban development of Pueblo West and the rugged drainage systems to the south. Central to this landscape is the expansive Pueblo Reservoir, which dominates the southern half of the map. Near the reservoir's northwestern inlet lies the settlement of Swallows, where the local Swallows Cem provides a direct link to the area's early families and rural history.
