Beaverhead National Forest occupies the southeastern corner of this high-elevation landscape, where the Snowcrest Range rises above the surrounding valleys. The terrain is defined by a network of drainages and seasonal water sources, including the headwaters of Swamp Cr and the westward-flowing E Fork Blacktail Deer Cr. This 2020 topographic record shows a remote portion of Beaverhead County where access is dictated by a few primitive routes such as Robb Creek Rd and Rock Creek Rd.
