Millers Ranch and Sycamore Flat occupy the lower reaches of this rugged Monterey County interior, where the Santa Lucia Range meets the Sierra de Salinas. This 2015 topography shows a landscape defined by deep canyons and prominent ridges, much of it protected within the Los Padres National Forest. The drainage network is complex, with Arroyo Seco winding through the southern portion while numerous creeks like Paloma Cr and Tash Cr carve out the northern heights.
