The Talkeetna Mountains define this high-elevation landscape in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, where a network of glacial and snow-fed waterways carves through the terrain. The Chickaloon River dominates the western portion of the sheet, while the Oshetna River flows through the northeast. This 2016 survey documents the hydrology of the subarctic wilderness, capturing the paths of Caribou Cr, Glass Cr, and Boulder Cr. Without any roads or permanent settlements indicated, the map reveals a purely natural environment shaped by elevation and water. The township and range lines of the Public Land Survey System, including t23n r7e and t24n r8e, provide the only human-imposed grid over these remote peaks and valleys.
