Tecoma sits at the western edge of the Tecoma Valley, a high desert landscape straddling the Nevada-Utah state line and the Elko and Box Elder county boundaries. The terrain to the east is defined by the steep rises of the Pilot Range, where peaks like Bald Eagle Mtn and Copper Mtn dominate the skyline. Drainages such as Thousand Springs Cr and Loray Wash cut through the arid flats, reflecting the seasonal hydrology of this Great Basin environment.
