Siskiyou National Forest terrain defines this portion of the Klamath Mountains, where the drainage systems of two major protected waterways converge. The Illinois Wild and Scenic River carves through the northern reaches near the Green Wall, while the Chetco Wild and Scenic River dominates the southern half of the quadrangle. High elevation points such as Tincup Peak and Mt Billingslea provide a framework for the Kalmiopsis Rim, a significant geographical divide between the Josephine and Curry county lines.
