The high plains of Bent County are defined by a network of essential water management features and scattered rural settlements. Toonerville and Ruxton anchor the southern portion of the sheet, connected by a grid of county roads such as Co RD K and Co RD 14. The landscape is shaped by the drainage of Rule Cr and Muddy Cr, which feed into the Muddy Creek Reservoir at the southwestern corner. In the northern reaches, the County Canal and Eagle Rock Ditch represent the critical infrastructure required for agriculture in this arid environment.
