The Havasupai Indian Reservation and Grand Canyon National Park meet in this landscape of deep drainages and high plateaus. The topography is defined by significant water-carved features, including the Colorado River passing through the Conquistador Aisle and the turbulent Forster Rapids. Transportation throughout this complex terrain is largely limited to a historic Pack Trail that connects the rim with the canyon floor, descending past Topocoba Hilltop and Topocoba Spring.
