Torrey Peak rises above a landscape of High Plains ranching infrastructure in this mid-1960s survey of Oldham County. The terrain is characterized by the deep incisions of Alamosa Creek and its many branches, including the West Prong Alamosa Creek and Middle Alamosa Creek. These seasonal watercourses carve through Torrey Flats and into the broken country of The Cedar Brakes.
