Reiner Springs and the headwaters of Blanco Cr highlight the transition from the high, dissected Edwards Plateau into the flatter ranch lands of northern Uvalde County. The landscape is defined by a series of prominent drainage features and peaks, most notably Ringtail Mtn and Sinks Hill, which overlook a network of deep-cut hollows including West Hollow and Crane Hollow. This area represents a rugged limestone environment where water sources like Little Blanco Cr and Nolton Cr have carved distinct paths toward the Sabinal River in the east.
