The international border between Canada and the United States defines the northern edge of this high-elevation landscape, where the Kootenay District meets Flathead and Lincoln Counties. Dominated by the soaring peaks of Tuchuck Mountain and Review Mountain, the terrain is a complex network of glacial cirques and drainage basins. Remote outposts and natural clearings like Weasel Cabin and Timothy Meadow provide evidence of early forest management and backcountry travel within the Flathead National Forest.
