Woody Island Coulee cuts across this northern Montana landscape, where the United States border meets Blaine County. The terrain is defined by the winding path of Woody Island Creek, which drains through the central and southern portions of the quadrangle. This area of the Big Sky Country is characterized by a sparse network of section-line roads, such as School Bus Rd and Hutton Rd, which serve the expansive agricultural and grazing lands of the northern plains.
