Union Center and Maple Point anchor this rural landscape along the boundary of Cumberland and Clark counties. The terrain is defined by a dense network of small watercourses, including Hurricane Cr, Lost Cr, and Ruffner Cr, which carve through the agricultural grid. A high concentration of family and community burial grounds, such as Decker Cem, Nebo Cem, and Ruffner Cem, suggests a long history of local settlement and genealogical depth. To the southeast, the outskirts of Casey appear, featuring the Casey Municipal Airport and the small community of Vevay Park. Transportation routes like Cumberland Rd follow the natural contours and early settlement patterns, while the more modern infrastructure of the interstate corridor cuts a direct path across the southern half of the sheet, passing near Ettlebrick Lake.
