The Richardson Highway and the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline parallel one another as they cut through this high-altitude landscape in the mid-1990s. The map illustrates a complex intersection of geography and industry, showing where these modern corridors traverse the Chugach National Forest. To the south and east, massive ice fields like Cleave Creek Glacier and Woodworth Glacier dominate the terrain, their meltwaters feeding into the Copper River and Tasnuna River.

Conservation boundaries define much of the southern half of the sheet, specifically the Copper River Delta Fish and Wildlife Management Area. Notable peaks such as Mount Diamond and Mount Billy Mitchell provide vertical orientation among the numerous unnamed ridges. The inclusion of Marshall Pass and a Communications Tower near the highway indicates the strategic transit and utility importance of this pass through the mountains.
