About this map

Vidal sits at the northern end of this desert landscape, serving as a junction where US Rte 95 meets local routes like Main St and Old Parker Rd. The settlement is positioned on the edge of the Vidal Valley, just north of where the drainage of Vidal Wash cuts across the terrain. To the south and west, the topography rises sharply into the West Riverside Mountains and the Riverside Mountains, separated by the high desert crossing at Riverside Pass. This area marks the boundary between San Bernardino and Riverside counties, a region defined by the isolation of its mountain peaks like Riverside Mtn and the long, straight desert roads of Blythe-Vidal Rd. Genealogists and local historians will find Holly Cem located just east of the main townsite near the county line.
