W T Ranch sits within a landscape defined by an extensive network of ephemeral water management and drainage systems in Reeves County. The terrain is etched by several prominent dry washes, including Fourmile Draw, W T Draw, and Coalson Draw, which channel seasonal runoff through the arid environment. A sophisticated system of livestock watering holes, or tanks, is distributed across the region to support ranching operations. These include the centrally located Carruthers Tank and Corner Tank, as well as the more peripheral Cottonwood Tank and Seven Up Tank. Transportation through this working landscape is facilitated by Ranch Rd 2119, which bisects the quadrangle, and secondary routes like Co Rd 235. This survey captures the infrastructure of West Texas ranching, where survival depends on the strategic placement of these man-made reservoirs relative to the natural topography of John D Draw and other drainage paths.
