Quijotoa Valley provides the central geographic context for this portion of the Tohono O'odham Nation, where desert floor and rising peaks dictate the pattern of human settlement. The landscape is defined by its intermittent watercourses, most notably the San Simon Wash which drains the western sections. Several established communities are situated along the primary transportation corridors, including Wahak Hotrontk and Komak Wuacho.
